CHALLENGE

2K Games needed a fresh marketing tactic to garner excitement over the release of classic science fiction video game XCOM. Originally released in 1994, the game had an entirely new and updated graphic interface but held true to its original turn-based roots.

ROLE

Together with 2k Games we developed this interactive trailer that mimicked XCOM’s gameplay by letting the audience make decisions that would effect the mission outcome - all done through YouTube. The trailer was a success, garnering praise from Complex and Kotaku to name a few.
